We are often asked how much cash should you take. That will depend on many factors and as such is impossible for us to answer!! Here is an idea of prices:
Three course meal for two: £25,
A domestic bottle of beer: £1.10,
An imported bottle of beer: £1.30,
Bottle of wine: £4 to £5, 5 litre
Bottled water: £1.60, Can of Coke: £0.65, 125g bag of crisps: £0.85, Diesel: £0.70 L

Good quality flashlight and spare batteries/bulbs – a head torch is most useful.

Travel adaptor - Namibia uses plus types D and M. Plug type D is the plug which has three round pins in a triangular pattern and plug type M is the plug which has three round pins. Namibia operates on a 230V supply voltage and 50Hz.

Cash: You should take South African Rand. South African Rand is accepted throughout Namibia it is exchangeable like for like 1ZAR = 1N$ . You could get your change in either currency, which have the same value, but be aware that you cannot exchange or use Namibian Dollars outside of Namibia. So please try and use all your Namibian Dollars before you leave Namibia.
Credit Cards are usually accepted in the main towns and lodges. ATMS are not usually available outside the major towns and cities.
