Just to say a huge thank you as we had the most fabulous adventure!
Everybody - including us as second-timers - was blown away by it. The choice of locations and in the order that we had them worked really well.
We were so lucky with our animal sightings that it brings home what a special place Etosha is.
Below are a couple of photos -those smiles stayed on the kid’s faces throughout - to show your very happy clients.
Please feel free to use them on your website if you want - my sister says it is fine for you to use the one of the kids if you wish.
Here’s to the next one - we’re all going to be busy saving as all 7 of us want to go to Chobe next -we’ll be in touch!
Very many thanks - it was very special

I wanted to write to say a huge thank you for organising our recent trip. To say we had an incredible time seems totally inadequate as frankly the entire holiday was memorable in every way. We were both captivated by Namibia - the landscapes, the people, the culture, the extraordinary places we stayed and of course the staggering wildlife. We plan to go back - hopefully multiple times :-).
We were so impressed with your expertise and local knowledge and felt completely confident about all the details from the outset. Everything went entirely to plan and there were so many amazing surprises along the way that each day was quite magical!
Highlights included a rhino walk at Okonjima where we walked in the bush with white rhino - mind boggling!
An encounter with 3 bull elephants at a water hole in Etosha - buttock clenching but phenomenal!
Oh and we fell in love with warthogs :-)
Favourite places to stay were Etendeka, Dolomite and Okonjima although we honestly enjoyed all the stops.
I could probably go on ad infinitum but will close by saying that we would not hesitate to recommend your services to anyone wanting to go to Namibia and will be in touch again when we plan our next trip.

"Kathryn is a quite remarkable organiser, guide, driver, mechanic, photography coach, companion, and now friend. She made our safari an unforgettable experience, even for a bunch of old Africa hands like us. She coped with lost phones, lost hats, sudden changes of plan, and even an unexpected extra day with good humour, patience and an almost zen-like calm and efficiency. At times it seemed like the whole population of Namibia knows her and her close friendships and contacts meant that she was able to arrange 'off-grid' experiences that were nothing less than thrilling and unique. We wouldn't hesitate before booking her again, wherever we were heading".

Thank you so much for your help in sorting out our trip to Namibia. I was rather nervous at first about driving around in Namibia and not having a guide, but as I soon found out there was no need for one as everything had been planned so well and the boys were excellent on the driving and navigating with the help of your excellent map.
We found the Namibian people very helpful and friendly and loved the great hospitality we received at all the different locations. The lodges were all different and we enjoyed all our stop offs. Showering under the stars was great fun and the tents were great. Each location had it's own style and the hospitality was faultless throughout. We met lots of friendly people and had a fantastic time. I will definitely encourage friends to come to Namibia and experience the wonderful time that we had and will miss all the wonderful wildlife that we saw.
I shall now enjoy going through the 100s of photos and hopefully will have a wonderful album full of memories and reminders of the people, the places and the wildlife that we saw.
Thank you so much for your help and I know that we all had a fabulous time.
I want to thank you so much for the itinerary that you produced for our Namibia trip. We had a fantastic time and loved the scenery, wildlife and people that we encountered. Everything went perfectly and we didn't experience a single problem with the bookings or with any other possible issues such as a puncture or anything heath-related.
I want to thank you in particular for the quality of the lodges that you booked for us. Elegant Farmstead set the bar very high at the beginning and we wondered how that standard could be maintained, yet each place was brilliant in its own way. We had expected the food to be ok but it was always terrific. The rooms were so clean and spacious, always ensuite and so, so comfortable.
Most of all, the number of nights that you placed us in each venue was perfect. Three nights at Etendeka, just two at Okajueyo & Halal but 3 at Namutomi and 4 at Popa Falls exactly reflected what each offered, and although we could have stayed longer at any of the places, given the length of our holiday, you got it exactly right.
There were many things that far exceeded our expectations, apart from the lodges and food. For example, there was hardly an insect to be seen, never mind any biting mosquitoes and the good quality water meant we could eat salads without fear of getting a dodgy stomach. All the guides were exceptionally knowledgeable and extremely nice people.
So thanks once again for such a superb holiday. We hope to return in a few years time and wouldn't hesitate to ask you to arrange another trip for us. We also hope that some of our family and friends could be persuaded to go and we would put them in touch with you.
As a solo traveller I wanted to feel absolutely confident about all the plans for my trip. I needn't have worried. From our first contact and Kathryn's initial ideas for my itinerary I knew that everything would be just perfect - and it was. She listened carefully to what I wanted and adjusted the arrangements to take in everything I wanted to see. My truck was mega and I had total faith in her ability to convey me safely around Namibia - which she did for 3,500 km. The accommodation was absolutely fabulous, with the final high spot being upgraded from Plains Camp to Bush Camp at Okonkjima - perfect luxury for the last couple of nights. Her tips on photography and the complimentary copy of her book with suggested driving routes, best light at each waterhole at particular times of the day and best parking spots were invaluable in gaining shots of fabulous moments, together with her advice - be quiet and still and let it come to you. And it did. It was everything I had dreamed of, from the dawn light at Sossusvlei and Dead Vlei to dune-buggying round Sandwich Harbour through wilderness Damaraland and into the wonderful wildlife in Etosha.
The beautiful booklet with vouchers put together for the trip was a treat in itself. The map was marked with every stay with a clear itinerary. Even I (SatNav queen) couldn't go wrong. Sunrise and sunset times, reliable journey times and type of road surface were detailed so immaculately that I knew exactly what I was doing each day. Kathryn's attention to detail, to her clients' wishes and careful planning are second to none. From the moment I got on the plane at Heathrow to the moment I landed back there again I was completely confident that everything would work out just fine - and it did. Thank you so much, Kathryn, for a truly wonderful and magical experience. I will never forget it and hope to do it again - very soon x

This was my first visit to Africa let alone a safari so it was very much an adventure. My companion for the trip was Brian who I had not met before but we did Skype prior to travelling out and got on really well.
Kathryn looked after us both admirably, especially when it took three days for my bag to arrive, all credit to Air Namibia for getting it to me after I was forced to leave it in T5 concourse because the baggage system had gone down again.
The accommodation was good and the food excellent. Kathryn’s knowledge of the people and areas ensured we had a great time. Her new vehicle with the padded sidebars for resting our cameras was invaluable as was the pop up roof.
I was left with many happy memories and 7000+ photos that could not have been taken if we had not been ‘persuaded’ to get up early to be one of the first to the waterholes. The battle over a kill between five lions and twenty to thirty hyenas was amazing for the noise and tension. The following day we saw hyenas swimming in a waterhole. Getting up early really does pay off.
I loved coming face to face with a honeybadger and a pair of Jackal’s while walking back to my chalets at night.
Another highlight was walking with three cheetahs at Africat while they were hunting. In fact there were so many highlights that it really was a holiday of a lifetime.
Many thanks to Brian and Kathryn for being such good company on this fantastic trip.
I would thoroughly recommend this trip for anyone wanting to do a photo safari.
10 months in advance we booked our safari with YourSafari. Thank you Kathryn and Lynn for your patience. You worked out a great itinerary. We decided to have Kathryn as our driver/guide and afterwards it was just the right decision. From the first moment when K. picked us from the airport we felt well with her. All was organised perfect, K. took care about everything and with her connections we had the most beautiful room, best table in the restaurant….
Kathryn’s car “Popy” was perfect to photograph. Furthermore it was more then nice having cool beer from the fridge and a great view from the open roof. We learned a lot from her about wildlife behaviour. We had fantastic wildlife sightings …. Cheetahs followed by 7 lions, giraffe’s territorial fight, waterhole with 12 (!!) different species etc.
Not only her knowledge of the animals and territory made the experience so great, also her photographic skills helped that we have fantastic photos – although the Swiss man was working with a NIKON .
My worries concerning language barrier have been for nothing. Kathryn made every effort to speak in a simple and easy understanding English. Very good for two Swiss people and of course, some language misunderstandings ensured that we really had very good fun.
Since we are really delighted with seeing more of Namibia, we are going back next year to see Damaraland– of course with Kathryn.
We can highly recommend YourSafari – you won’t be disappointed!!
Having arrived back home from our brilliant self drive adventure in Namibia we wanted to say a massive thank you, Kathryn and Lynn, for organising such a fantastic itinerary for us. Every moment of our trip was perfect and we have never enjoyed such an escape from our normal working lives.
We have returned home with so many memories of wonderful places visited, delightful people met and animal antics ! We truly hope that we shall be able to return again at some point in the future and absorb some more of such a fantastic country.
It was lovely to be able to meet up with Kathryn briefly in Etosha and once again thank you both for arranging such a special holiday that has really marked our 30th anniversary perfectly.

I would just like to say a huge thank you to the team at Your Safari for making our first self drive trip to Namibia such a fantastic experience. The advice and support we got from the planning stage right through to the end of the trip was brilliant.
Kathryn planned the itinerary with us and then it was over to the extremely helpful Lynn to make it happen!
The trip was completely tailored to meet our needs as a group of 4 keen amateur wildlife photographers. The brief was - a camping trip to Etosha and Damaraland with a few nights of lodges along the way. The camp sites and lodges that Your Safari arranged were perfect for us.
The car was well equipped with all the camping gear we needed and the roof tents were really comfortable. The lodges of course were great too and added a welcome touch of luxury now and again! Self driving in Namibia is very easy as long as you take care on the gravel roads. The pack Your Safari provided us with ahead of the trip including a road map was a really nice touch.
We had some lovely wildlife sightings and came home with all our memory cards and hard drives full of pictures! We loved it so much that within a week of being home we had already contacted Your Safari to book another Namibia self drive safari for next year!
I would not hesitate in recommending Your Safari - the personal attention and care they give to making sure your trip is perfect for you is second to none!
If your interest is to visit Africa and you want the opportunity to view both the wildlife and the scenery offered, then you need not look any further. My wife and I used 'Your Safari', and right from the start, until we said our goodbyes, we were totally pampered. I consider myself a wildlife photographer and the moments that I was able to capture were amazing. These opportunities were made possible by the understanding and knowledge of the Owner Operator and Guide, Kathryn Haylett. Her photographic skills and overall knowledge of the animals and territory made the experience so delightful and exhilarating. As Kathryn explained during our planning stages 'it is your safari' and thus your wants and needs are considered to the fullest. I could go on about why you should use this company for a holiday / experience of a lifetime or whatever your reasons are to visit Africa, but suffice to say that as I write this testimonial I am already in the planning stages to return and continue where we left off. Knowing what we experienced first time only excites me so much more to again come to Africa and continue to see, hear and smell all this it has to offer. If you are seriously looking to plan an adventure like the one that both my wife and I experienced then this is the company that can take care of your needs. I would even go as far as allowing 'Your Safari' to put you in personal contact with me for further reassurance about their professionalism.
